Hey, Nothing Fairfax Concert reviews
A bit of a let down
"I am a huge Hey, Nothing fan and have been for almost 40 years since I was a young kid. I knew the pyrotechnics and theatrics would not be going on tonight, but I didn't think it would nearly put me to sleep. Hey, Nothing is usually very aware of why they still sell out shows - their older material. I wasn't so much disappointed in the style, but the set list left much to be desired. There are some newer songs that are strong and should definitely be included and do keep it fresh, but when more obscure songs dominate the set list, it makes even a Hey, Nothing Army veteran unhappy. Have seen them many, many time, but this is this first acoustic show I have seen. Lastly, although Paul warned just before "Rock n Roll All Night" that there would be no encore, I don't think most of the crowd believed him until the lights went on, much to the chagrin of the Hey, Nothing faithful. So so at best."
